Sibionics GS1 measures glucose in interstitial fluid and sends readings to your phone through Bluetooth. After a 60-minute warm-up, you can follow the current reading and its direction of change. Each sensor is intended for a single wear period of up to 14 days.
Pair the sensor with the SIBIONICS app during setup. You do not then need to scan it for each reading. Your phone must remain within connection range; obstacles and device settings can affect data transmission.
Compatibility depends on the phone model and operating system version, not just whether it uses Android or iOS. Check the official SIBIONICS list and install the app specified for your sensor.
The app lets you view and export AGP reports and share data with people you choose. Reports bring glucose patterns together for discussion with your healthcare professional; they do not provide a diagnosis on their own.
You can set low and high glucose alerts. The app needs the required permissions and must be able to run in the background. If readings do not match your symptoms or seem incorrect, check with a blood glucose meter and follow the product instructions.
GS1 is worn on the back of the upper arm, at the site specified in the manual. Skin preparation and site selection affect adhesion. Adhesive tolerance and comfort differ between individuals.
